The story of

Marjorie

Marjorie Koharski, is a retired flutist with the Monmouth Symphony Orchestra, a former faculty member of The Monmouth Conservatory of Music, a member of The New York Flute Club, a member of The New Jersey Flute Society, and a member of The National Flute Association. She attends their annual conventions and performs with the flute orchestra in cities throughout the United States.

She holds degrees from State University in Pennsylvania, Monmouth University in New Jersey, and has studied music education at University of New Mexico. She has performed in Master Classes with James Galway, Julius Baker, and Murray Panitz.

She is founder and director of The Festive Flutes, a semi-professional flute choir, who perform light classical music and show tunes throughout New Jersey.

She plays frequently in duo concerts with classical guitarist Keith Calmes, and also with a violinist, pianists, as well as solo performances. She teaches flute in her Neptune studio.

We are available to play at your event. Musical Ensembles include flute alone, flute and Classical Guitar Duo, Flute and Piano, Flute and Violin Duo, Flute-Violin-Cello, Flute Choir and Flute Violin Guitar Trio.
